For conspicuous gallantry and presence of mind. When the battalion was being relieved,
the Headquarters` party came under artillery fire, which caused several casualties.
This Warrant Officer showed great devotion in rendering first aid to the wounded, and
assisted to carry them back, being under shell fire throughout.
